Before

This patient had several pregnancies and was bothered by the loose rolls of skin and fat on her abdomen. She was working out in the gym 6 days per week but although she felt "firmed up" she could not change the look of her abdomen. This is a fairly typical history. Loose skin like this cannot be corrected by anything other than surgery. Even laser assisted liposuction will not tighten this type of abdomen sufficiently. I discussed a tummy tuck with her and she was onboard immediately. 

She is shown before surgery where the rolls of skin can easily be seen both in the front and side views. 

After

She had a routine abdominoplasty (tummy tuck) with relocation of the belly button, tightening of the abdominal muscles, and aggressive skin removal. She is shown 6 months after the surgery. Her scars, while excellent, will still improve further as they fade in the months to come.
