Before
This lady had four pregnancies which left her with loose skin with extensive stretch marks. She was an excellent candidate for an abdominoplasty (tummy tuck). This was her only option as no other procedure would remove the stretched skin and tighten up both the skin and muscles.
After
She is six months after a tummy tuck in which a large amount of skin and fat were removed. This totaled 870 grams (Just shy of 2 lb). I also tightened her muscles 5-6 cm (about 2 in)Her abdomen is not flat, but this was not expected. She is slightly overweight with a body mass index of 28 and carries most of her fat in her abdomen, where it is inaccesible to surgery. The only way to change this is through weight loss. The small vertical scar in the middle of her incision scar is from closing the hole created by releasing and repositioning her belly button. The only way to avoid that is to move the incision closer to the belly button, but that will more limit her ability to wear two piece bathing suits. I expect her scar to fade with a bit more time, but it is quite good as is.
