Before

This 30-something lady desired more volume. She has had children and breast fed. Her breasts are sagging to a degree where I would usually recommend a breast lift as well as implants. She did not wish to have the scars of a lift. I explained that the only way to give her implants with a reasonably normal result would be to place them above the muscle, contrary to my usual practice. I explained the pros and cons of this approach. She elected to proceed, understanding that she would still be quite saggy.

After

she is shown 6 months after a breast augmentation with 457 cc Allergan Natrelle Style 15 round, smooth moderate profile gel implants placed above the muscle. Her bra size has gone from a D to a DD cup. Cup size in this situation is a poor reflection of true breast volume. She looks more full, very natural, and is very soft. Her implants are hard to feel even with a careful examination. This was a less than ideal situation with an exceptional result. She knows that she may need, or desire, a lift in the future. This is a great example of someone having realistic expectations and doing very well as a result.
