Before
No, I haven't reversed the photographs. This is only the second time this has happened. This young lady underwent breast augmentation twelve years earlier elsewhere. She said her breasts were uneven, one an A cup and the other a B. These were Mentor round, smooth saline implants. The size was a relatively conservative 325 cc. She said that almost immediately she was not happy with how her breasts looked and felt with implants. In the years that followed, she had three children and breast fed them all. Over the years she was never comfortable with her implants, especially when she was physically active and she finally came to me to have them removed. Her health was good but she said she was trying to live a "non-toxic" lifestyle and felt that losing the implants would be a part of this. We discussed this at length and I made sure she knew that neither of us could predict what her breasts would look or feel like after removing the implants.
After
When I removed her implants, they looked like the day they went in. After surgery, the loss of volume is quite obvious. She stated that was OK with that and happy to be back to her all natural self. Her only future option for restoring fullness would be to put implants back in or try to inject her own fat into her breasts. The latter would be difficult as she is thin and does not have a lot of extra fat. I don't put fat in breasts cosmetically because I am not convinced it is a good thing to do.
