Before

This lady was not your typical breast augmentation. She had a breast reduction years earlier, going from a G cup to a B/C cup. After that, she lost weight and her breasts shrank to where she now she felt they were too small and saggy. I always warn patients that significant shifts in their weight, whether up or down, can have adverse consequences on the result of cosmetic surgery. I felt she would do well with breast augmentation alone. I also offered to remove some of the remaining pigmentation of her left areola, that her surgeon left under the left nipple/areola complex. 

After

I performed her breast augmentation with 375 cc Allergan Natrelle Style SRM smooth, round gel implants placed partially under the muscle. I also removed the areola pigment under her left nipple/areola complex, which explains the pink scar under there. She did beautifully with a result that we were both happy with. Because of the scar from her earlier breast reduction, the implants did not fill out her breasts in the same manner they normally would have. This is most evident in her right breast. Despite this her breasts look much better and both are nice and soft. Her sensation was essentially unchanged. Somehow, I never did get her bra size after surgery!
