This young lady is one of my relatively few long term results. It is hard to get young women back for a check up of their implants years after surgery. Most are too busy with their lives and, if they are doing well, do not want to take the time to return even though I do not charge for these visits.

I saw her for breast augmentation in 2016. She went from a C to a B cup after losing 60 lbs. I felt she would do well with saline breast implants and offered this surgery to her. She wanted to look natural and not be to big or "showy."

She is shown 6 months after breast augmentation with Mentor smooth, round, saline implants placed behind the muscle. The implants are 425 cc and both were filled to 475 cc, a generous size. The voume assymetry between her breasts, with a slightly more full right breast, was much improved even with the same size implants. Her case is a good example of how difficult it is to predict what implants will do for each individual patient. Her bra size increased to a D cup with these large implants. She retained normal sensitivity in her breasts.

She returned for a check of her breasts and to discuss possible surgery to go bigger. She had one more pregnancy during these years. She remained pleased but sought more upper pole fullness. I do not have photos from now but her long term result is exceptional. Her breasts are full and exquisitely soft despite the fact the she weighs 35 lb less than she did when she had her surgery. Her breast exam was entirely normal. I told her that it would be unwise and meddlesome to do surgery on her breasts without good cause because she looks so good and has done so well. I told her there is not need to remove or replace implants just because they have reached a certain age. This is a widely circulated misconception. Even some plastic surgeons tell their patients to return periodically to have them replaced. I disagree. I think I convinced her to appreciate what a great result she has.
