Patient - Breast Lift

Before
This lady had completed her family planning and wanted her breasts enhanced. She felt they were too saggy, the left was larger than the right, and her areolae were too large. She thought she might also want more volume with implants.
When patients indicate a desire for both a breast lift and implants, it is often best to do these operations separately, with the lift done first. When done together, they work counter to each other- the lift tightens the breast skin and makes the breast more compact while the implant tries to stretch the breast out and make it larger. Complications are more frequent with combined procedures of this nature. They can be combined in some situations but both procedures must be compromised.
After
She is shown after a lift on the right and a lift with a small breast reduction on the left. This evened her out nicely. She has nice shape and the scars are settling out well. She tends to make ropey scars as evidenced by the scar under the right ribs where she had her gallbladder removed one month after her breast surgery. Scar therapy was started on the breasts right away using silicone gel applied twice a day.
