Before

This patient spans 22 years of my practice. What began as a routine breast augmentation with a small breast lift over the years included breast cancer and one of the most challenging nipple-sparing mastectomies with reconstruction I have been involved in, and concerns over toxic mold and breast implant illness. The before photograph shows her when she first came to see me.

After

The after photograph is her reconstruction with 595 cc Mentor Memorygel smooth, round gel implants. The right breast is slightly firmer than the left but we agree that the result is acceptable and does not warrant more surgery. She is just happy to be able to wear normal clothing, bathing suits, and tops. Despite her concerns regarding possible breast implant illness and mold, she is doing well, in excellent health, and very active.
