Before

This young woman came seeking a breast reduction for pain in her back and shoulders from her heavy breasts. She wore a 40 DD/42 D cup bra. She also had constant rashes under breasts and occipital headaches. Conservative measures failed to provide relief. According to the Schnur Scale, used by insurance companies to determine medical necessity for a breast reduction, I would have to remove 310 grams from each breast (about 11 oz). 

After

I performed a bilateral breast reduction on her, removing 734 grams from the left breast and 859 grams from the right. She did beautifully and had very nice contour and symmetry with preservation of normal feeling in her nipples. Her skin type placed her at increased risk of problematic scars. She did have some increased pigmentation and thickening of her scars. At the time of the final photographs, her scars were settling satisfactorily. All of her presenting symptoms were gone after the surgery and she was very pleased. Her new bra size is 36 B cup.
