Before

This young woman had several children and lost a great deal of weight. As a result, her breasts were sagging and she had a lot of loose skin with extensive stretch marks. She was unhappy with her appearance and seeking some improvement. 

After

I performed a mastopexy (breast lift) and abdominoplasty (tummy tuck) on her. This is commonly referred to as a "mommy makeover", a term I don't like as it sounds too cutesy for a 6-7 hour surgery under general anesthesia. It is real surgery. We can do these in our office, which houses the areas only state-licensed ambulatory surgery center within a private practice office. I routinely use a medication, Exparel, at the end of the operation. This is injected into the entire area of surgery and provides 2-3 days of excellent pain relief, as it releases an anesthetic slowly over the area. She did great with the surgery and was delighted with the result. She liked her new breasts and did not seek implants later.
