Before

This young lady came seeking to have her sagging breasts lifted and more volume added to them. I recommended a two-stage procedure with a breast lift first followed by breast augmentation later. These two procedures are diametrically opposed- one tightens and lifts the breasts and the other expands them, and complications are frequent and can be disastrous when they are done together. She had also undergone an abdominoplasty (tummy tuck) elsewhere with complications (infection and breakdown of her incision) and asked if I could revise her scar.

She is shown 3 months after her breast lift followed, nearly two years later, by breast augmentation. I used 360 cc Allergan Natrelle Inspira Style SRM smooth, round gel implants, placed half under the breast and half under the muscle. Her original bra size was a C cup and after the surgery she was sized at Victoria's Secret to a DDD cup. Her beasts are soft and both look and feel almost entirely natural. She did lose a lot of sensation in her nipples but I told her this can take as long as one or more years to recover. One in ten patients lose some senation permanently with a breast augmentation but this rarely is a source of dissatisfaction with the surgery. I also revised her abdominal scar and this turned out well.
