This gentleman presented with severe impairment of his vision because of his droopy eyelids. He had both droopy eyebrows and extra eyelid skin, both of which contributed to the severe "window shade" of skin hanging in his visual field. Visual field testing confirmed the impairment and the correction of this when his eyelid skin was pulled up, away from the eyelid margin. Because of the visual field impairment, Medicare covered the surgery to correct this.

Because he had two causes for the extra skin, a single operation would not fully solve his problem. I there fore performed a lift of his eyebrow through incisions along the upper margin of his eyebrows as well as direct removal of the remaining extra skin.
