Patient - Facelift

This lady in her 70's presented for facial rejuvenation. She wanted to minimize the amount of surgery done yet achieve a nice, natural result. I felt she would do well with a mini-facelift and fat grafting. Patient selection is very important for these procedures.

She is shown before and 6 months after having this done. Fat grafts were placed in the cheeks, along the lower eyelid, and between the eyebrows. The mini-facelift provides a modest tightening of the skin and the fat injections give the face a nice degree of fullness, eliminating the "gaunt" appearance that a facelift alone would not. Fat grafting sometimes even shows a nice benefit in improving the quality and appearance of the overlying skin.

This is a nice example of a result that is very natural and not overdone.
