Before

This middle-aged lady wanted to look a bit more youthful. She was active and healthy but showed the typical changes of aging and a lifetime of sun exposure. Her main concerns were her lower face and neck and her drooping upper eyelids. 

After

She is shown after undergoing a traditional SMAS facelift and upper blepharoplasty to tighten up the lower face/neck and upper eyelids, respectively. Her appearance is clearly refreshed and more youthful. The facelift was not a "mini", but a full tightening with release of skin extensively and tightening the muscles as well. The combination produces a wonderful, natural result. Patients look like themselves and no one would suspect they have had surgery without looking closely for the fine scars. The result is permanent and never fully goes away, but the aging process continues and, over time, some further relaxation and sagging is to be expected. Most patients never have a second one. Only Hollywood starlets and plastic surgery addicts have a third, as the results of those are always odd and unnatural.
